Q - My pool is old and outdated.  Can you update or renovate my pool and deck?

Q - I can't keep the chlorine in my pool above 1 or 2 ppm, even after I shock. Why?
A - Check your stabilizer or cyanic acid levels, these prevent chlorine evaporation.

A - Rectangular pool: L x W x Average Depth x 7.5 = Gallon.

A - GFCI - *Test frequently*

Q - How high should the water level be?
A - The Middle of the tile line.

Q - All of my lights went out at once, what do I do?
A - Check the GFCI and Breaker.

Q - How can I protect my heater?
A - Fire off heater once a month for 5 minutes for protection.

Q - What is the life on my equipment?
A - Average is about 5 to 6 years on the life of your equipment.

Q - How often should I clean my filter?
A - DE Filter - Backwash once a month or 5 lbs over normal pressure
   *The filter should be disassembled and cleaned once a year*
 
   SAND Filter - Backwash once a month or 5 lbs over normal pressure
   *Sand should be replaced every 3 years*

   Cartridge Filter - Disassemble and clean every 6 months


Q - What is the life of my pool surface?
A - Pebble Finish - 10 to 30 years
   White Plaster - 3 to 6 years
   3M Products - 5 to 10 years
  *Chemistry can play a roll in the life of any of the surfaces mentioned above*


Q - Why won't my heater fire?
A - Possible reasons:
    a. Rain (it takes several days to dry out after a rain)
    b. Dirty Filter
    c. Pump Gasket Full 
    d. Skimmer Basket Full


Q - I have a white stain all around my pool tile at the water line and can't get it off no matter how hard I scrub. What is it and can you get rid of it?
A - Most likely it is a calcium stain that bonds tightly to your tile.  Most minerals like this are tough to remove and    an onsite analysis is required by our specialist to determine how best to remove. Prevention is the key to keep    this mineral stain from developing and TBC has programs that will help.

Q - Are chemicals included in your pool maintenance program?
A - Yes, all chemicals and filtration media are included in our program including algaecides.
